Access Norton County District Court Records
Public District Court records can be searched online through Kansas Case Search when the record is public and available. The courthouse public access terminal is available in the Clerk of the District Court office during normal business hours, and Norton County says there is no search fee for using that terminal. Printed documents cost $0.25 per page.
Direct requests can be sent by fax, mail, email, or in person. Requests should name the specific documents needed and include the case number when possible. The clerk has three business days to respond after receiving the request. Once records are found, the office contacts the requester with the total cost, and documents are sent after payment is received.
Norton County Court Services
Court Services is a 17th Judicial District support function, not a separate court for filing new cases. The office supervises adult offenders in Decatur, Norton, Graham, Phillips, Smith, and Osborne counties. It handles probation supervision, bond supervision, predispositional reports, and presentence investigation reports at the court's direction.

Norton County Appeals
Appeals from District Court decisions generally go to the Kansas Court of Appeals unless the Kansas Supreme Court has direct jurisdiction or grants review. Appellate courts do not replace the District Court clerk as the source for local trial-court copies. They create a separate appellate record after a notice of appeal and appellate filings begin.
